The project provides, carrying out an equalized plan of urban transformation characterized by a functional mix (residential, commercial, tertiary services), the realization of a ”qualities system” that can guide the project, administrative and economic choices. Everything is to realize an urban experiment: the first quarter in the South of Italy efficient for what concern the energy (building category A/B) that combines the energy efficiency with the architectonic experimentation, thanks also to the study of new forms of living, new typological experimentations and propositional interactions between climatic and environmental elements and buildings, realizing so a sustainable project as a whole. Theoretical and cognitive element is not enough to catch the sense of the city: other literary and sensory methods of identification and interpretation of urban contents must be accredited. An hermeneutic path, founded on the intuitions and emotions and on empathic elaboration of signs and symbols rather than simply on the informations and datas, is therefore an essential element to read urban life. The shared system (public administration, private promoter, citizens) started by master plan of Z_OO architecture.bureau for 8+1 srl, allowed to operate difficult choices and put the architectonic project in the centre of the choices that lead the urban transformation of the territory. In this way it eliminates the negative trend that gives to the technology the solution of the quality and efficiency problems. Furthermore, thanks also to the study of the new forms of living and new typological experimentations, we managed to put in practise propositional interactions between climatic and environmental elements and buildings and realize a sustainable project as a whole.
